I’m a North Cowichan resident in my 40s, raising my family near Quamichan Lake. I work in Chemainus, spend plenty of time at Berkey’s Corner while the kids are at practices, head to Maple Bay when I need the ocean, and Crofton for a walk or picnic. I could keep going because, to me, every part of North Cowichan is home.

For more than 20 years, I’ve worked with businesses large and small, non-profits, communities, and local governments. I’ve worked through budgets and bylaws, growth and community planning, governance, economic development, advocacy, and the complicated work of turning ideas into something that actually gets done. Today, I’m Executive Director of the Chemainus Business Improvement Association and founder of my own consulting business for the past decade.

But titles only tell you so much about a person.

At my core, a problem solver, a listener, and someone who shows up. I ask hard questions. I’m willing to challenge an idea, and just as willing to change my mind when the facts point somewhere else. I believe decisions deserve care, public dollars deserve respect, and the people making decisions should be responsible for their decisions and accountable for the outcomes.

I’m not a politician. I’m someone who loves this place, believes deeply in its potential, and is ready to put my experience to work for the community I call home.
